MOTHER OF BRIDE Vs. MOTHER OF GROOM

Does the Mother of the Bride and the Mother of the Groom have to wear the same color? Can they wear any color? Does the color have to be the same as the wedding party?

In my experience of weddings usually the parents were wearing whatevr they wanted. The last one I went to the mother of the bride has on this expensive green dress when the colors where baby blue, silver and, white! So it`s up to you. In my opinion I would put them in the same color but their choice of style. It`s your day!

My understanding of what all the magazines tell you to do is that the mother of the bride should choose her outfit and then coordinate it not match but just don`t clash you have to think about your pictures.
