Uninformed
I am seventeen and starting to think about my future, I was really interested in Wedding planning but I have no idea what I have to do to become one. Do I go to College? what do I major in? I have a lot of questions, if someone could get back to me or email with information I would Really appreciate it :)
Thank you so much

This is what I think and I am by far, not the gospel. I think that you should go to a junior college and take business courses, Accounting courses, hospitality courses as well, maybe get an Associates degree in Business but for your minor subjects, take some hospitality courses. You should also sign up for a certificate at a Bridal Consulting program. You can look for those classes online. When you are going into business for yourself, it is good to also take a business law course to just in case. I was so happy to take those courses before venturing into being a wedding consultant as I do not rely on anyone to take care of my money, I now have a staff of 5 people that includes a secretary and I just rented my own space a little less than 2 years ago. I am thankful to have gotten in touch with many people whom I trust to supply my brides with favors, champagne, cakes, decorations and so many other things. I have even met many people right here on this board. I am not big time, but at the end of the day after paying my staff, my business brought in $105,000 of profit for me after taxes. I keep on top of new things. You wouldn`t believe the craft conventions, dolls shows for brides who would like dolls for decorations and so many other shows that I have been invited to just because I put myself out there. You should speak to a guidance counselor at school and at the local college and go from there. It is an excellent business to get into.
