Cheap Invitations Needed

I am looking for cheap wedding invitations. I have searched high and low online and it seems as though there is nothing cheaper than 60$ for 75 invites not including envelopes etc.. I would hope that I could find everything for around 75$. Thanks

My Friend got married not long ago. Bought a do-it-yourself kit and it cost her about $1.20 each including envelopes, little gold wooden harts and RSVPs
Try searching under DIY stationery.
Hope it helps

If you have access to a computer and printer I have an idea for you..I got a kit from Staples Business Depot that you print yourself. They have two designs to choose from. It included Invitaions Thank you cards, and reply cards , and envelopes. There is enough for probably 75 invites and they even have a website with templates to use for each card. It`s all kitted up in a box and it only cost me about $40 canadian..

I got my invitations from Rexcraft. Their prices range from $20 up (per box of 100 invitations and envelopes). They`ve got a great selection and I was really happy with their quality.

All the ideas sounded awsome.. I might try them as well. However i was originally thinking to just use some paper thats alittle thicker than regular paper, get a pretty stamp (u can get some really nice ellaborate ones at a craft store) and some gel pens. Make your invitations that way. :)

Other ways to save on wedding invitation costs is to hand deliver as many as possible. You can still address them to personalize them, but you can save a bundle in postage by doing this.

Also, choose lighter paper stocks to save on postage.

You can also establish a wedding website where people can rsvp (instead of spending money on rsvp cards and postage). You can also make this a fun way for everyone to get involved in your wedding, by posting photos and stories about you and your betrothed.

I was also searching around the web for cheap but nice invitations - my luck? I talked with my mother and she`s excited about making them her self! She`ll pull a few samples together for me to check out, and i`ll choose some thing nice. It`s easy enough. Get some pretty paper(and everything you believe you will need) from a paper store , some thing that pleases you. And ask a talented friend, or whomever if they`d be interested in working out some thing with you. -

I`ve checked several catalogs, and the cheapest I found so far is Willow Tree Lane. They have invitations starting at $20. To cut the cost, rather than sending out a reception card, just put the reception information on the main invitation. That way you can just send out an invitation and a response card (skip the reception card all together).
Here`s Willow Tree Lane`s website: http://www.willowtreelane.com/order/index.cfm

My mom made my invtations and they were beautiful. We got them from C&J Papers www.cjpaper.com They came with double envelopes the inners had lining, and she also got the response and reception cards. We paid less than $100 for everything. If you are looking for terrific papers (that are blank) at a reasonable price then try this website. We were VERY pleased with our purchase. They have all kinds of designs and the paper was very heavy, and we got printing directions and suggested wording also. None of my moms friends believed that she printed them herself!!

I went out to a store near by, hallows - just a paper store around my area. I looked around at invitations, but nothing i was interested in. I looked around more, and I found two boxes of announcements. Beautiful sheets! White rose and gold leaf -
I looked around the store and found RSVP size cards, they were even paneled! Found small envelops that matched both rsvp and "invitation" (announcement) sheets. Every thing went together so perfect!

The only 2 problems i ran into were:

1 - the invitation sheets were in a box that i could not open with out buying first - The risk I took was, Not knowing the size of the envelops - when I got into the car, I found out that those envelops were the same size and same style envelops i had bought for the rsvp cards. I need to buy larger envelops now for the inviations! But now, I have more then enough rsvp envelops!! (so, that risk cost me 7 bucks)

2 - the RSVP cards are just a little too hard to go through the printer. It will go through and even print out very lovely - except because it`s so thick , it comes out with a line of ink at the bottom of it all. My sister tried putting some of that blue painters tape on that one spot - and it fixed it up just perfect.

46 dollars for 200 invitations! BEAT THAT!!

30$ - 200 invitations AND 220 envelops
7.50$ - 250 RSVP cards
7.50$ - 200 envelops (

Hi,
Depending on how formal you are looking to "appear" to your guests...I have a very inexpensive way to go. We are using the `seal and send invitations.` They basically are a tri-fold invitiation. They contain the guests address on one side, then on the other side- the actual invitation with reception information, then on the bottom there is a perforated section with the R.S.V.P. Info. The guest can then fill out the R.S.V.P. And return it (with the postage already attached by you.) This ofcourse involves no additional envelopes to purchase! We are having approximately 150 guests and will be able to get all the invites for about $150.00...check it out at: grapevineonline.cceasy.com- look for SEAL & SEND INVITATIONS.

Good Luck!!!

We did our invitations for under $60.00. We went to Michael`s Craft Store and in the wedding section, they had invitation kits for around $10. Each kit made 20 invitations. Our colors were lilac and white. The invitations were white and we bought inexpensive lilac organza ribbon to tie through each invitation. We put an short poem at the top of our invite and then we listed the all the info down below. We did the font on our invitations in a lacy cursive and we put each invitation into our color printer and volia--beautiful white invitations with lilac writing on it. For our r.s.v.p. Cards, we used postcards from the post office and printed on those our guests` addresses as the return and our address as the main address and asked them to mark if they were attending or not and to return a month before the wedding. We slipped the invitations into the big envelopes they came with and the r.s.v.p. Cards and it cost us regular postage... So we saved hundreds of dollars doing it this way. Good luck.

The one about ann`s i wouldnt suggest. They start as low as 40 but youstill need to pay extra for different color inks, and response and reception cards. Even after settling on a design that was cheap but not my dream design, i was over 130 with shipping and handling, color changes, and everything else! i appreciate everyone`s ideas because i am havingthe same dillema and would like to go as cheap as possible.
