Unity Candles: What Else To Do?

I have something that is the perfect alternative to the unity candle. It is called the "sand ceremony." You each have to containers on a different color of sand and then a middle, larger container. During the sand ceremony, each pour your sand into the container, mixing the colors. It has the same symbolism as the unity candle, but is more unique and modern. It is becoming increasingly popular.
