Affordable Wedding?

Ladies I need help! I am having a hard time planning my wedding. My parents have given me a budget of $10,000. I thought it would be so easy to meet that budget, but boy was I wrong! I dont need anything extravagant, but i do want a nice, elegant wedding. I live in Arizona and if there is anyone out there with any ideas please pass them along. Thanks!

I am not a wedding planner, and in my opinion they can be costly too. Just another expense out of your $10,000 budget. Check out the website www.fireyourweddingplanner.com. It helped me plan a wedding from $7,000 to $3000. Ur blessed to have parents that already have that much to spend. The key is to think of your furture. A wedding is for a few hours, would you want to use $10,000 for a day? Do u have a house, and money in the bank? If not, I`m sure those extras you dreamed of having won`t matter too much anymore! Good Luck!

Just to reply to kaykay, I have subscribed to fireyourweddingplanner.com and it is great! I do have my own home and money in the bank. I think the main problem is that we have only been able to narrow our guest list to just over 200 guests! With that many people it`s hard to spend less than $10,000 on a nice wedding.

$10,000 is that all? I think that is very generous. I had a very elegant wedding and made my budget on only $5,000. I am now helping my brother plan his on only $4,000! It is so easy! Email me with what you need help with and I can give you some more ideas. Check out Country Clubs for location sites. They usually allow outdoor weddings with indoor receptions. Costs usually start at $500.00. Then the catering ranges from $15.00/plate and up. Try www.Davidsbridal.com for a dress. They always have sales! They also offer invitations! Try ebay for favors, boutonnierres, aisle runners, etc. I have helped plan several weddings and always kept the budget low. Also keeping the budget under $10,000 will definately make your parents happy!
