Help Me Brides To Be!!
Baby Pink and Black Wedding Colors
I am having a wedding at the end of August and wanted to know if you thought these colors would work or if there is something that would be better with baby pink. I know that there are going to be some peaches, pinks, and purples in the bouquets for both. I am so bad with colors and I just didnt know what to do. Should I have the colors pink and purple.......it just seems to be too much that way??? I thought maybe pink as the main color and black as the accent to go with it . I need some suggestions and ideas if this would go okay. Help me brides to be?

I think that the black would be too drastic of a colour difference with the baby pink. I would choose something else such as a light yellow or green (think sage coloured). A suggestion would be to go to a fabric store and pick out the colour of pink you want and then go compare it to other colours until you find one that you think compliments it well.

I think the colors go well together. My cousin had those colors for her June wedding and the men wore black tux with baby pink tie, vest and cumberbund and it was nice. The men wore that and the women had a gorgeous gown that was baby pink and black so it goes. Although, I like fushia and black much better. It puts two bold colors together and not a pastel and primarty. But it is still nice.

I am a florist. There are different shades of pink (from light to dark). A good florist can make almost any colors work together.
Although I do not believe that pink and black would look good together. If you have a soft pink, then a soft grey would look better. Pink , lavender and pastel colors look well together.
What I tell people if they are not sure is to go to a local paint department. Find your colors on the paint cards and see what looks well with each other.
It is a good idea to have different colors and shades of color in your bouquets. If you have pink, then use different shades of pink. If you have lavender, use differnt shades...ect.... Multipul colors and shades make decorating easier. Your bouquets and centerpieces set the colors for other items, such as napkins , bows, & paper products. If you use different shades of colors, then you are not limited to one color/shade when you go to get decorations for the reception. If you use differnt shades of pink lavender & purple for an example then in your decorations you will be able to choose from these different colors. Giving you a better selection of colors for decorations and the color will not have to match exactly, because you have different shades of that color.

I think black and pastel pink look great together-very sophisticated. I`ve seen lots of bm`s dresses in black with pink accents and the other way around.
I`ve seen the combination everywhere but especially remember seeing it at Alfred Angelo`s website.

I am planning on using the same color scheme for my wedding also. I am doing an evening wedding and I agree I think it looks very sophisticated and elegant. I am at the early planning stage, but i think it will work!

My colors were light pink and eggplant (a dark purple). The BM`s wore the eggplant dresses and carried the light pink flowers and the men wore black tuxes with the eggplant vests and wore the light pink boutineers. Soo I think the colors would look fine!

I am a wedding planner and even though I have not as of yet done a black and pink wedding it will work. If you use light pink as your primary color and if you would like you could use other shades of pink as well. The bridemaids dress can be light pink the groomsmen can wear black tuxs with light pink vest, bouts. Ect.....
Another place to add black would be at the reception plates, napkins, place settings, ect........ I hope this helps if you have any other questions please email me at allicow75@earthlink.net
