Customer Service

I visited David`s Bridal on several occassions and the experince I had was aweful. I made and appointment with the consultant and returned for my appointment before the designated time. I waited an hour before anyone ackowledged me. Once I expressed that I was on time restraints, someone finally took me to a dressing room. I was asked to pick out the gowns I was interested in trying on. I went through the David`s bridal book and chose the gowns I felt would look good on me. Nevertheless, none of those gowns were available in the store. The consultant brought gowns that did not fit my request. She was only interested in me buying the gown of her choice on that particular day. I felt so uncomfortable. They follow you like vultures and make you feel like leaving the store to never return again. Well due to the accessory I need to complete my wedding attire, I entered David`s Bridal once again with one of my bridemaids and the two flower girls. We chose the flower girls dresses we thought would be appropriate and asked for a dressing room. The flower girls were outfitted and they attracted so much attention that one of the consultants asked permission to photgraph them. They were photographed. We were in the process of exiting the store and my bridemais asked to look at the tops they had displayed. She wanted to try two of them on so we began seeking a dressing room. Preferably the one we had just left, room 29, which had already been occupied by someone else. Another consultant looked at us as if we were out of place and began telling us that the area in which we just left was only for bridal. I told her we had just left room 29 and she got an atttitude and began to walk us towards the front of the store. There were several empty dressing rooms where we had just come from. I asked her where she was taking us and she said to a dressing room. I asked her what was wrong with where we were. She made some smart comment and when an african american male consultant came across the stage she said oh there you are they need some help. I abrutly told her they she had just lost a sale and we would not be returning to this place of business. This guy had no idea of what we were in need of nor did he seem to understand what was taking place. David`s Bridal customer service is horrible and I WILL not recommend anyone make purchases from them. There are other local bridal stores that sell the same garments for hundred`s of dollars cheaper and they do not work on commission. I will file a complaint with their corporate office as well as the better business bureau.

I had an even worst experience at David`s Bridal.I went to look at a wedding gown on thursday along ,the sale person tried to convince me to buy the most expencive gown the .She told me that they only had one gown left so I should put it on lawaway eventhough I thought the gown looked reveilling for me she somehow convinced me to put the gown on lawaway.ON saturday the same week I went back with my family to get their openion and we all decided that another gown which cost 1/3 less was the best choice I ask to use the amount of money $282.00 that I Had on deposit for to be use toward the gown that I liked they refused.I went back with my fiancee who had actually sighed the lawaway the manager agreed to alow me to make the change .She said that I have one day to decide .I went back with my mother on the next day which was sunday at that point I was certain the second gown was actually the best one for me.THE SAME MANAGER SAID THAT I HAD TO SPENT $1200.00 OR MORE AT DAVID`S BRIDAL AND THEN BUY THE OTHER GOWN. SHE SAID THAT WAS THE POLICY AT BAVIID`S BRIDAL. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DAVID`S BRIDAL TO MY WORST ENEMY.I ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO COME FOWARD WITH SIMILAR STORIES.AS FAR AS I;M CONCERN THE DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTUMERS THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE ONE SALE.

One good piece of advice for those of you having a hard time getting help from these companies. Call customer service or corporate and make a complaint. Include the words lawsuit and/or formal complaint to the BBB. I guarantee you someone in that company will perk up and take notice. I strongly suggest you follow up with a letter from a lawyer if you can. I used to work for a major corporation (not a bridal shop) and they had a "corporate" email address and phone number. Well when you contacted corporate it went to the same call center as their customer service. These people were basically corporate secretaries. While you think you`re sending a complaint to the corporate office, it`s going to a rep who is trained to screen out what is and what is not worth wasting corporate`s time.

One thing that ALWAYS was worth corporate`s time was a complaint that had the words lawsuit or BBB or something from a lawyer. Most big companies operate like this. Mention the words lawsuit or BBB and see what happens.

I have some other pointers but I won`t clog the board. My email is novelties_of_nuance@yahoo.com
