We are thinking about getting married at Lake Tahoe this summer. Does anyone have any good tips or warnings?

In regards for tips on getting married in Tahoe. Whatever you do, don`t use the company DreamMaker. They are located in Incline VIllage. My wedding is planned for 6/22/02. We were going to use DreamMaker and get married on the Mtn Top. We did sign a contract w/ them, but now have found a place the suits us more and want to get married there. We are having problems w/ negotiating w/ DreamMaker and them calling us back promptly. Hope this helps

A freind of mine got married in Tahoe at Granlebokkin Resort on North shore. I am not sure if you were thinking of doing the chapel thing or a larger wedding. One thing to keep in mind is that Lake Tahoe is very limited in wedding vendors and usually charge an arm and a leg. Try to book everything as early as possible, 9+ months before the wedding in order to get the service reserved. Good luck and congratulations on your engagement!

Thanks for the tips- we were thinking of a small wedding, only about 20 people. I had the impression that not a long timeline was needed for a tahoe wedding, so this is interesting to hear.

I guess we were just thinking about doing some kind of package service or resort or chapel where they arrange everything for you. We`ve been surfing online for info, so thanks for the comment about Dream makers- their stuff is everywhere on the web. I was considering them.
