Looking For A Medevil Dress Under $1000
I am having an outside wedding in Maryland in Oct. I`m looking for a medevil type dress with bell sleeves under $1000. Where should I look? Also, any decorating tips for a fall wedding? Thanks a Lot.

Well, I just ordered the gown of my dreams, and under $1000 is very, very possible. First, go to ebay, go to clothing & accessories, and type either Medieval gown, or Renaissance gown as a search to start. I am having mine done by StichinWitches.com.
Here`s mine:

And they`re doing it for less than half your budget.
Good luck!

There are some great medieval/renaissance dress patterns from Vogue, McCall, or Simplicity (i cant remember which one has the really good ones). Most of the patterns are in the "Costume" sections, but one of the books even has a few in the "Bridal" section. It would be very cheap, and easy to pick a pattern, and have a seamstress make it for you. It would be exactly as you wanted too, and be tailor made for you. The women at the fabic stores can usually give you the names and numbers of the local seamstresses.

Kristie, there are some good patterns available also from places like Alter Years in California. I`ve have some sites bookmarked at home (I`m at work right now); if you email me at panacea789@aol.com, I`ll pass along some pattern info.

In Vancouver, Canada there is a store that strickly does medeival dresses. She, the owner, makes all of them by hand and they are beautiful. Her prices are quite fair. The House Boutique is the name of the store. Just key in those words and you should find it. I did all of my wedding dresses for mine and actually ended up putting 3 patterns together to get the look I was after for my bridal dress. Good Luck.

Search for gowns on bridesave.com. If you search for bell sleeves (butterfly sleeves) you`ll find some awesome ones.
