Unique Wedding Registration Ideas

Does anyone have any unique wedding registration ideas?? Instead of just the usual registering at the stores.I had only come across one very expensive photographer that gave cards so people could see that you are registered with them and people can give monetary gifts to that so that can help you pay off the photography balance.Great idea, but they are still a lil` too pricey for us, so please, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
