Weddings Color

Hello You all I am getting married this August and I am at a lost as to what colors I would like to use. Purple is my favorite color and yellow looks so bright but my friends and family have been telling me those two colors do not match so what can I get to go with purple or lavender or in that color family? I could use your suggestions

I think a bold purple and a bold yellow would look nice then put a softer color into it too. I went to a hawaiian themed wedding once and they had bold colors like purple, orange,red, and yellow, the flowers were beautiful! My colors were eggplant (which is a dark purple) and all different color pinks.. Pale pink,hot pink,medium pink etc...

I think purple and yellow, or a pale lavender with a pale yellow would coordinate very well together. I like the combination, it`s fresh and bright. You could dress your bridesmaids in purple or lavender and use yellow as an accent color in your decorations and in your flowers.
