Miss Common Sense,
This message board includes people from all over the world, not just your particular English speaking country. Maybe you could use a little bit of that common sense.

Great to know you are proud as I am, of our heritage! I`m also planning to translate my wedding invitations to Tagalog even if half of my guests don`t speak the language. I want them to experience the beauty of our culture and language since my wedding will be held in the Philippines! But of course, I`ll have the English translation, as well. To all nationalistic Filipinos who are planning to go filipiniana all the way for their weddings, I`d say go for it! Our local products and fabrics are classic and original, there`s no way you could go wrong. There are also shops online that customizes invitations to Filipino/Tagalog. But another nice idea is to ask friends back home to translate it for you. I`m sure you have at least one articulate friend who can help you out with our `wika`! Ingat

Mayabang ang mga Pilipinong akala mo ang galing magEnglish. Hoy, Kahit tumanda ka ng 200 years hindi ka magiging fluent sa English because English is language and it is culture. Since ganun sya, It`s a process which is unending. A process of learning because of constant change. Medyo magbasa ka ng origins of English and its transitionas well as its development
Para maintindihan mo ang sinasabi mo.
