Outdoor Wedding Decorations

I need outdoor wedding decorating ideas as well. I love candles but we`re planning a wedding the middle of the day and I`m afraid the candles will just blend in with the bright sun rather than adding anything. Ideas?

Hello, i am also planning an outdoor wedding and wondering the same thing. My wedding is gonna be pushing later in the day tho so that the lights stand out a bit more, and also because it`ll be a bit cooler. But anywho, i am gonna use tulle, i think thats what it is called, the net type material, and put some christmas like lights in it. You can use the colors that your doing your wedding in. You can also get bags, "get the colors your wedding is gonna be in" and put votive candles in them, the wind won`t blow them out and it will give you a beautiful color. I am also thinking about getting those vases that you put rocks in the bottom, and fill them with water, then you get a certain type of plant for the top, then there is a certain kind of fish you put in the vase and it feeds off the roots, i seen it in a magazine and it was beautiful. Those can also be a gift for the bridesmaids and the groomsmen, after the wedding is over. Sorry i don`t know the formal name of the "Fish in a Vase", but they are very popular, and i`m sure if you ask a florist they can tell you. Hope this has helped. Good Luck!

My daughter is also having an outdoor wedding with a bit of a western flair. Any ideas you come up with will be appreicated. We are considering using some trellis (white) with flowers, honeysuckle vine, and tulle across top etc. Also have some old iron gates I will decorate with honeysuckle vine. She has chosen daisy`s for her flowers. We will have a b-b-que which will be partially catered. If you have an idea for a dance floor without renting one, I would appreciate you sharing. Good luck...Carolyn

We had an outdoor wedding and used the tulle and used the white icicle christmas lights. We used my parents 1400 sq foot deck, so I can`t help on that but the icicle lights gave it a romantic feeling. Tulle will add a little softness to any outdoor affair.

If it`s price you`re concerned about ask a building contractor for any extra plywood you can borrow.
If you have a person who poors cement baements in your area try them.

I think extra large potted plants for the day and a temp floor from plywood is something to work with; long rolls of material can be bought at a fabric shop and depending on if you have anywhere to hang decorations it could be nice.
