Racine Wi Florist: BEWARE OF BORZYNSKI`S

Have a unique situation where my Fiance works long nights and is not able to go along on many of the consults with me. That being said. I went to Borzynski`s flowers for my initial consult for my July wedding. 1 thing they did not/would not show me any pictures of weddings they had done in the past. The next thing is after they called and qouted me the price I called them back to have them send me a qoute in the mail or by fax. They told me no. I told them the only time we both are able to come back in to the store would be on a Sunday. THEY DO NOT do this on Sunday. Ok that is understandable. I then asked them again to have the qoute in writing. She replied "NO we can not do that. This is strange as it is. I then said after doing my fair share of begging that this will have to be done if they want my business. The woman at Borzynski`s then replied "We are doing just fine without your business, We will not put a qoute in writing"
So my advice to all Brides, there are 100 other florists in the area that would love to have our business. Go elsewhere do not go to this establishment, Brides should be treated well by the people we are paying, we have enough headaches to deal with, we do not need a florist with an attitude and besides, they are doing just fine without our business..

Sheesh, what a rude employee!

I`d go elsewhere, too.

Borzynski floral did my wedding in June of 2004. They were helpful and friendly and not at all like you have described. Their designer worked around my schedule and met with me in the evening more than once. We were so impressed with the quality, service, and price that my cousin has booked with them for her fall wedding. I would recomend them to anyone of my friends.

Dear Sheri,
First I`d like to apologize for our part in causing you obvious frustration in your search for wedding flowers. As a recent bride myself, I can certainly appreciate the time, effort, frustration, confusion and joy of planning a wedding. We don`t normally have designers here on Sundays, and while I don`t want to make excuses, the particular designer you met with here initially was handling her first solo consultation and obviously did not realize we will make exceptions if a bride is not available at any other time. We do hold fast to our policy of not just sending a "quote" in the mail. When a bride comes in for an initial consultation, we discuss the type and time of ceremony, colors, bouquet styles, and general likes and dislikes. We offer current bridal books and magazines for our brides to look through, and while we take pictures of much of the wedding work we`ve done, we find with the continual change in style, color and trends, most brides come in with a pretty set idea of what they are looking for. Our floral cooler is always full of current floral designs which gives most brides a good idea of our abilities, but again I apologize if you HAD wanted to see past weddings - that she was unable to locate some photos for you at that time. After the initial consulation, the designers will put together a loose estimate based on the basic design, flower choices and season of the wedding. We then ask the brides to come in so we can go over the estimate with you. This is not meant to be an inconvenience to brides, it is simply so we can discuss how we came up with the prices, the range we may be working with based on availability of flowers at certain times of the year etc.. A bridal consultation is something that we put time and effort into, so "just send me the price sheet in the mail" doesn`t give us the ability to go over the estimate with you and doesn`t give you the opportunity to get greater in-depth detail. We do not quote a final price until the wedding is booked and all details are worked out.
All florists certainly understand that brides have many options when it comes to floral services and will comparison shop, and most (including ourselves) are in the business and stay in business because we enjoy weddings and helping brides make their wedding day exactly what they want it to be.
