Anniversary Invitation Etiquette
We`re planning a 50th anniversary for my folks. My mother thinks that we need to include in the invitation a list of local hotels/motels. I feel that this is not necessary as everyone knows how to locate a hotel, or they could call or write us for that information. Also I think adding this list of hotels to the invitation would take away from the invitations look. What is your opinion?

Diane,
It is a nice gesture to include hotel information with the invitations, especially for the out-of-town guests. However, this information should not be printed on the invitation. You should include the information on a separate insert - preferably one that matches the invitation.
Another option is to give out-of-town guests what is known as a "Save the Date" invitation. It is not the actual invitation for the event, but kind of a "head`s up!" that you send out several months in advance so they can plan accordingly. You could always include the hotel information with these.
I hope that helps. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me at info@daisy-days.com. Thank you!
