Invitation Wording

I`m getting married in december 05 to a wonderful man. We`re paying for some of the wedding along with my parents. I also have 2 children. I`d like to include my parents and my children on our invities. I can`t find wording about this anywhere! I was thinking of something like...

Ashley and Brooke, along with their grandparents (insert names), request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their mother...

Any ideas would be great!!! Thanks!

I like it just the way you worded it.

My daughter is getting married in June `05. Her father and I are helping pay for the wedding. We are divorced and we are not sure about how to word the wedding invitation. His father is deceased and mother is not helping with the wedding. Thank you for your help. Brenda

Unless your two children are paying for or hosting your wedding, then they should not be on the invitation as the hosts. The people who "request the honor" of guests` presence on the invitation are the hosts of the event.

Thanks for the information. I understand what you are saying Linda. I just want to include my daughters in some way because we`re all becoming a family. Maybe if I didn`t say anything about requesting presence, but saying something like...would like to include you in the first day of our new life...

I`m not really sure. My fiance wants to adopt my daughters. Their "dad" has never been involved and I feel that my big day is their big day as well. Any help would be great!!! Thanks!

Mr. And Mrs. John Grandparents
Request the honor of your presence
At the marriage of their daughter
Tanya Sue Bride
To
Mark Alan Groom
Please celebrate with us as Tanya and Mark, along with Ashley and Brooke
Unite as a family.

Or maybe...

Mr. And Mrs. John Grandparents
Invite you to join them as their daughter
Tanya Sue Bride
And her children Ashley and Brooke
Unite as a family with
Mark Alan Groom

You`d have to tweak the wording somewhat cuz I just thought them up off the top of my head. But something like that perhaps?

On the inside of the invitaion on the left page was a short poem that read: I took his hand to have and to hold our hearts embraced and never let go.
On the inside right side it said :
It was love at first sight but more important was the moment I realized I couldn`t imagine my life without you in it...
Bride and Groom along with their parents invite you to share in their joy as they are married on Saturday, the date
The year the time
The location
The address of the location
Through this union we will also create a new family with our children John Anthony Doe and Jane Sue Doe.
I hope this helps al little bit good luck!
