Then get a job and mind your own business, she didn`t ask you that she asked for sponsors and if you were not willing to be that for her or tell her how to go about getting it, then keep your opinions where your a$$hole is! As for the Bride 2 b. Check more places locally like your bakery, florist or even your jeweler. Even if they do not offer the item, they may give you discounts. Mika, how did you get sponsors for your daughter for her travels?

My son`s karate school offered to pay for the music which costs $550. All of my sponsors info will be put in my program. I also have their business cards.

This is a very strange trend... People are being told that you can just venture out onto the message board and get a free wedding...

What`s the problem with sponsorship?! Star jones had sponsors for her million dollar wedding.

The search for sponsors is going great. My grandmothers jeweler friend is letting me borrow some very fine jewerly for my dream day. I didn`t ask any of my sponsors for help. They offered. The owner of the restaurant is a friend of a friend. We eat there quite often. If someone offers, why not accept. I`m not commiting a crime here. We have put our wedding last on the to-do list for too long. Now`s our chance to have what we`ve planned for and more if possible. I`m not begging anyone for anything. This country is going strong today because of sponsorship. I mean our taxes. For all those leaving negative comments, please stop. You`re wasting my time and yours`. Thanks for the many understanding people who left feedback.

I think sponsored weddings are great. I`ve been trying to do some research but I`m not having too much luck. Is it difficult to ask or how do you approach people?

Hello everyone I think that it is a great idea to get sponsored. I myself am getting married on 7/10/2005 and I am also looking for sponsors. I do agree it is very hard to do, but you must first start with business in your area. Companies really want to hear what you can do for them if they sponsor you (like letting them know that you will advertise their company to others that you know). However I am just providing some ideas that I recieved form other people and I do have some people who are going to sponsor me. However if you know of anyone that can help me or you want some information form me just e-mail me at alicia07@hotmail.com.

Let me first say that I am not trying to be a smart a** and I respect that we all have have our own unique way of planning and financing a wedding. But, wouldn`t it be absolutely humiliating to have paid advertisements in your wedding program???? Wouldn`t you be embarrassed to subject your guests to "commercials" .
What`s the point of a big wedding if all the guests know that you essentially became beggars to get it done?

The wedding was a success. In addition to the tradition wedding program, we had a program that listed the sponsers info. Most of the sponsers offered us a discount of at least 40%. This was a great idea. My florist presented the venders with our idea and most accepted. With all the money we saved, we were able to add that to our boys account.

Always go after what you believe in and never let the negativity of others stop you. All of our sponsors were great to work with. A co-worker of my husband`s already has 2 sponsors within 3 weeks.
