Who is the designer of your bridemaid dresses. I am panicing that i still haven`t decided one yet.

I struggle with the same issue for the Groomsmen. I think you just have to do the black and brown thing and forget about it possibly being in bad taste. It wlll look great. Good Luck!

I, too, am considering the pink/brown color scheme. I am going for a non-traditional wedding & am interested in wearing a bright pink or chocolate colored wedding gown. Have any of you come across wedding gowns in similar colors?

I`m an interior designer and two of my good friends are getting married in June in Palm Springs. They`ve asked me to help design their wedding. I`m pitching a pink and brown color scheme. If anyone has pictures of this color scheme successfully executed at an event, please let me know! Thanks

I am using the colors Mink and Rosetta (which are brown and pink) and the dress is made by WTOO. They do have a few dresses in those colors as well. Go to their website and scroll through the bridesmaids dresses and you should see them, I believe there are a few

I`m doing the chocloate and pink theme too for my wedding this June.
The girls are wearing Mocha dresses that have a band of pink at the top of the dress and another around the waist.

The guys are wearing black tuxes, with black vest, white shirts, and pink ties with pink handkerchiefs in the pocket. It looks very sharp.

Good luck getting the guys to wear pink, that was what I originally wanted to do, they laughed at me. My colors are hazelnut and blush, so its not a very deep brown, my wedding is in June. The bridesmaids dresses are hazelut with a blush ribon around the waist and around the very top of the dress (strapless). The tuxes are from Jim`s Formalwear. The mocha color is new this year. Since the shade of pink is so light, the pridesmaids will carrying peonies, because their the perfect color and it will pull the pink out a little.

I found pink and brown striped ties! Brooks Brothers (on their website under striped ties) have brown with thin pink stripes and pink with larger brown stripes. Called Stain Resistant Silk Equestrian Stripe Belts Tie.

Val- I LOVE peonies!!! I am getting married in July and when I asked the florist about having them she said that they would be super expensive (I don`t know if they are out of season in July??) ...so I went with roses for the girls. I am still thinking of changing it though, peonies are so pretty. I am going with an all white bouquet for myself... All roses and some stephonotus (sp?). ~Fran

Yes, peonys are more expensive, but they are much larger than roses. So it would actually take less flowers to make a bouquet. Did you find the mocha colored vests yet through Jims Formalwear? It actually looks really really good with the bridesmaids dresses. Them having a mocha vest instead of pink, allows me to accent more with pink. I`m so glad this is coming together. What do you bridesmaids dresses look like. I do have to say that I am very excited to get married, but now that its so close, I`m a little scared as well. Does anyone else feel this? Please tell me this is normal.

My bridesmaids dresses are by alfred angelo #6133 in expresso with a pink bow. That is a good point with the peonies...do you know when they are out of season?
I was extremely excited about my wedding and now I try not to think of it too much because it is SO CLOSE, and that makes me nervous!! I just hope I get everything done that needs to be done!! So either it`s normal or you and I are not normal. =) I looked on Jim`s Formalwear and could not find a vest that came in mocha...which kind is it?
I looked at those ties that Sarah found, they are perfect...I`m not sure how they would look with black though??

So I looked at Jims Formalwear website and didn`t see the mocha color. I would actually go to a location and ask. Because the one in knoxville just got their new brochures in. Maybe its not on the website yet. Peonies bloom every spring and are hard to mess up. They usually survive the winters. I don`t know why they would be that much more than roses. My florist said they were more expensive than roses, but she said roses aren`t as much as what everybody thinks. Its not a very expensive flower. By the way-where are you getting married and where are you from?

Hi, im getting married in August and have chosen this as my color scheme also. My bridesmaids will be wearing these elegant (yet simple!) pink gowns and I would like your opinions of what you think. Also what do you think of the pink/choco theme? Ive gotten alot of mixed opinions on it, but i think it is very elegant. So far everything ive chosen for it looks fabuous

I live in England (but am from and getting married in Boston, MA) and Pink and Brown is everywhere! I think it is a hip and classy combination- you can really tilt it either way. Any ideas for favours or programs out there? I don`t have a creative bone in my body, but I really want to make my own things to aviod all of the cheese that is out there. I found reallt cool paper, take out boxes, and a guest book on paper-source`s website. The paper and boxes are called camden fair. Does anyone have an opinion about groom`s attire? He was thinking a dark blue suit with an off-white shirt and pink and brown tie. I think maybe he is right becuase black may look weird with brown.

I`m getting marrried June 18th, 2 months away!!! Our wedding is going to be at a place called ridge valley farms in Maryville TN. It will be outdoor and has a farm atmosphere, but its not really a farm. We`ll get married at a gazebo, and then there is a pavilion on the other side of the property for the reception. There will only be about 150 people. I don`t know if this is considered big or small.

To all who are having the cocoa/pink color theme - way to go! I am a wedding photographer and my nephew and his fiance have chosen these colors for their May 14th wedding and they look absolutely beautiful. And in photos, the blushy pink color really stands out against the mocha colored dresses. They are using blush pink roses and the florist is dying cream roses a darker mocha/tan. The brides dress is from bonny.com #459 in the antique color; the bridesmaids are wearing mocha dresses; the groom is wearing a chocolate brown tux with a tan shirt dressed with a pink satin tie; and the guys are wearing tan suits, ivory shirts and ties with mocha and pink. Just from a professionals point of view, it seems to be the colors of the season...extremely popular, and definitely looks better when you see it.

Just wondering, my daughter 14 is looking for a pink and brown prom dress, Have you come across anything like this. PS good luck with your wedding plans.

Where did they find a chocolate tuxedo for the groom? I have been looking EVERYWHERE for chocolate brown tuxedos, and can`t seem to find them anywhere. I`m not getting married until May 2006, but I`m wondering if my dream for chocolate brown tuxes is an impossible one. I want them to go with copper/brown bridesmaids dresses. HELP!! If you know where to get the brown tuxes, PLEASE let me know!!

I too am having a chocolate/pink wedding in August 2006! We are absolutely stuck on having our groomsmen wear dark brown suits. For all who are looking for the same, there is a great website that I found (suitsbygeorge.com) he sells Bendetti suits which I have seen a bendetti suit in the color "brown" in person and the color is great, DARK chocolate brown! the color comes in several different styles, and you can`t beat the prices. The Groomsmen can buy a suit to keep for the same price of renting a tux!

I love the two colors together. My wedding is in July and I just recently decided to go with these colors. I picked a shorter chocolate brown dress and my bridesmaids will be carrying pink flowers. It looks beautiful together.

My brother and his fiance are planning a pink & chocolate brown wedding in June 2006. They are not having any luck finding brown tuxedos. If anyone knows where to find brown tuxedos, please let me know.
