Invitations For Destination Wedding
Hi,
I am getting married in Las Vegas in July, then 2 weeks later having the ceremony blessed with our children present, then a reception. All are welcome to attend any of the three events. How do we go about sending invitations and how early should they be sent to allow for guests to plan for the Vegas trip????? How would we word the invitation?
Thanks
Nicole

Normally, wedding invitations are sent out 6-8 weeks in advance. Your guests will probably need more time than that to make travel arrangements to Las Vegas. One thing you could do is send out Save the Date cards so guests know to start making plans before the actual invitations are sent. You could even include hotel information, an itenerary, etc.
The invitation can invite guests to the Las Vegas wedding. You should also order reception cards inviting guests to the reception.
I have some Las Vegas themed wedding invitations available on my website. Here is one link: http://tinyurl.com/5ahpx
You can also go to www.daisy-days.cceasy.com and type in "Las Vegas" in the search box.

We are getting married in Aruba and we sent out invitations a year in advance. We first had a family/friends meeting telling them that we were getting married in Aruba, we had our travel agent find 4 all inclusive hotels with great prices for groups and asked our families to enjoy the time with us. Because we gave people so much time, our family and friends were able to save up and take it as a vacation, the children that came had a child camp at the hotel and parents were able to come to the ceremony without the kids, we asked for no gifts but a lot of family member and friends bought us souviners and they were great. We had a great time.
