Shower After Wedding

My sister, just got married in Reno and because of the holidays and other reason we weren`t able to give her a shower before the wedding. Her reception isn`t until March and I was wondering is it too tacky to have a shower for her now even though she is already married?

I would think that since she got married around the holidays and in Reno that you could give her a wedding shower. It is fine.
