Garden Weddings In Arizona

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I am getting married in 6 months and want an outdoor wedding with lots of flowers and plants. . . A garden. I have only found one and they want 10,900 for the wedding and reception. That is out of the question.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

We don`t have a particular place yet in Arizona. We live in Phoenix and plan on getting married on September 18th. I just want a quick, less than a half hour outdoor wedding with lots of pictures by the flowers and such but we can`t find anything like that with a lot of flowers and maybe a fountain. Then I want to go inside for the reception.

Hi Heather-
Did you have any luck? I`m getting married in Sept also, and live over here in Ridgecrest, CA. Pretty much the same geography as you. I`m having a heck of a time finding a nice outdoor spot. Any luck? One of the nicest places I `ve found is at our Junior College...they have great grounds.

Good luck

I have had a little luck. I found two places but they say lush gardens. . . They are not lush. They have a little grass and some trees and very little flowers. We are thinking of just buying a lot of potted flowers the day before the wedding and just setting them up there that morning.

Not sure if you found a place yet, but I am getting married at a place called "The Boojum Tree" at 36th St. And Bell in Phoenix. It is a Nursary, has a ton of plants, fountains and cobble stone walkways......Very Nice.

We are considering a VERY large tent/canopy, (around 50`x40`) and LOTS of silk plants for our wedding in Laveen this August. There`s even a few places in the Phoenix ares that rent silks. How are you doing on a photographer. That`s where I just cant even figure out where to start?

Hi. Thanks for all of the help. I did find a place on 15th Ave. And McDowell. It is the Valley Garden Center. I have a choice of getting married in four different outside spots, get the kitchen and two reception rooms for the whole day.

My Photographer is Ginnie Grant. Her number is 480 897-0444. I am not having a real fancy wedding or anything. I am also doing my son`s birthday party that day too, in one of the reception rooms. This photographer was used by one of my mom`s friends and she said that she is good. When I met her I thought she was a little weird. She drags her feet a lot, but my wedding is not so fancy so it won`t matter that much and her prices are the best I have seen yet.
Hope this helps.

Hi Heather, It`s staarting to sound like you & I are kind of on the same page here with our weddings. Thank you for the name of the photographer. Wierd is not always bad when your dealing with an artist. Sometimes wierd is even just the thing that makes it "art", you know? How you doing on catering or food & drinks...I`ve pretty much got that one under control if you want any info AND as far as the where question....we are finally deciding to do this thing at our own home. But that is after literally months of back & forth and looking for an affordable site & REALLY thinking about it & visualizing what I would like my wedding to look llike, so If your still having some confusion in that arena write back & maybe I`ll even give you my phone #.

Toni the wedding place is around $1500 I believe. I am getting married on a Wednesday (our anniversary) so it is cheaper on a week day. We are paying $1,071.60. That is the tax and the deposit. I belive we get $150.00 back if everything is picked up when we leave. That is for the outside wedding and two inside wedding reception rooms for all day. I think she had said 8 am to 11 pm, music off by 10pm.
If you would like the address is 1809 N. 15th Ave.

Wow that is great. The Boojum was about $1,100 more just to rent the place. We may have to go take a look at it. Thanks again for your info!!

Natalie, We are not doing a caterer. That is what we liked so much about this place that we can do our own food and not an outside caterer. We were going to do sandwiches and subs and stuff like that but think we changed it to a mexican theme. We are alowed to have beer and wine there without a bartender, so we are going to get a keg and pop and juice and stuff like that. It is also going to be a three-year-old birthday party. . . So not that fancy. Did you find a minister person yet? That is where I am having trouble.

IS there ANY possibility of having the wedding in NEw Mexico? I am a caterer in the greater Albuquerque area and know of MANY great places that are beautiful and a lot less expensive. Another option would be Sedona,AZ. August is a HOT month in Arizona - Flowers last about 10 minutes, food stays for about 1/2 an hour.....The cooler environment for your special event - the better !!! Good Luck !!!

I am actually looking for an outdoor wedding and found a place in Peoria. They are called Cameo Rose Wedding Chapel. I hope you find an outdoor wedding that you will remember and that is inexpensive. If I find anything else, I`ll email.

I am also looking for an inexpensive outdoor ceremony site and indoor reception site. I am new to the area and the budget is tight. I would appreciate any help.

Cassandra,

There are many great outdoor locations, Parks only charge 25.00 to reserve outdoor ramadas. Some parks have wide open spaces that do not even need a reservation fee. If you are looking for a place to have a reception at the same place as your wedding. The cost start around 2,000-3,000 for The Shannondoah Mill in Gilbert, Waterfront on the Lakes in Tempe, The Phoenix Zoo, The Tovery Mansion, Superstion Lakes Club House, and the great thing is you can save tons on having a caterer and your own bar, that is what starts adding up. You also might try very small quaint resturants like: Arcadia Farm in Scottsdale is alot less, and very cute!!! Or try some of the local Bed and Breakfast places too if your guest list is small enough.

My friend was married at the Wright House in Mesa and I believe she paid around 1500.00

Please don`t go with that $10,000 site. That is crazy for an off season date to begin with. Summer weddings in Arizona are considered off season, especially for outdoor weddings. The Wright House is awesome. My best friend got married there. It was very reasonable and beautiful with flowers and fountains. There is also a Victorian House where everyone gets ready. Awesome for pictures. Good luck and wherever you choose to get married, where sun screen and drink water. It will be hot.

I think that I have found a place. The valley garden center is great. It is only $900 for all day. They even have a kitchen so that we can do some of the food ourselves. Now I just have to worry about how to decorate a very plain hall. Nice but inexpensively. Any ideas?
