Wedding Party

About a week ago I had one of my bridesmaids write me an e-mail saying that she will not be able to be in the wedding due to money problems. I had offered to go ahead and pay for her dress and shoes, but each time I call her no one`s ever home to pick up the phone, or if I leave a message she never returns my calls. So now I`m stuck with a total of three girls and for guys and I have no idea how I`m going to make this work. I have had one idea that instead of having everyone couple up I can have each one walk down and up the isle by themselves in boy/girl order, but I`m afraid that it might look bad. Has anyone else had a problem with having one girl or one guy short? I`m up for suggestions.

I really don`t see the problem, you attendants aren`t marrying each other, they don`t have to pair off. You can either have them walk down in single file, or if you go with pairs, the single groomsman will walk down alone. It will be fine either way, guests don`t even notice are care about those things. There are enough really big things to worry about, relax, don`t sweat the small stuff.

They walk in seperately, so just let them walk out seperately.
You could alternate, boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, boy or let all of one go first.
Ideally we like to have equal numbers of bm and gm but don`t stress out about it, it`s not the end of the world.
If it bothers you that much, do what the other poster said, ask someone else to be your bridesmaid.

You could have the men already standing at the altar, by walking in with the groom from a side door. Then have the bridesmaids walk seperatly down the aisle to come in, and to exit, you could have an usher escort her, or have one groomsman walk to girls down the aisle..
