IDEAS PLEASE!!!!

I would like ideas for giving away the centerpieces and other decorations. I don`t want fighting over them, I want to have something that will have people knowing that the centerpiece is for that special guest. Does anyione have a game, or idea that we can do for that?

At my daughters wedding, myself and the Groom`s mom took one, the three grandma`s, great grandma, the Godmothers, sisters of the bride and groom, bridal party, and a couple of aunts. No one seemed upset about it....they went to the women who loved them the most.

You can write the item that you want to give away on a piece of paper, tape it to the bottom of the chair and after dinner, call the attention to the piece of paper on the bottom of the chair and whomever gets the paper, gets the item that you are giving away.

Our family has a custom for the center pieces. The oldest lady at the table gets to take the centerpiece home. It`s fun. Women who usually shave years off their ages all want to be the oldest....for the moment anyway.

At one wedding i went to during the supper the dj told everyone to stand at the table and on person take a cloth napkin and when the music began we had to twirl the napkin once around in the air and pass it to the next then the next and so on until the music stopped so the person with the napkin in their hand thought they had won the center pcs but then the dj said it went to the person on the left it was lots of fun and funny and preety cool to see all 350 people twirling napkins one at a time in the air. We also tried it at our neices wedding this year and it was a hit! GOOD LUCK!!!

You could have the DJ announce that whoever at the table has a birthday closest to the wedding date gets to take the centerpiece home.. I was just at a wedding that did that.. It turned out very nice!

If you want the centerpieces to go to someone specfically it is best to do so before the wedding. At my own wedding I made a mark on the back of the place card. The DJ announced that they turn their cards over and if they had a mark on the back of the card they were to take the centerpiece home.

If you are looking for a fun idea the napkin or passing of a salt shaker works best.
