Valentine Theme Wedding

I am planning a Valentine`s wedding for 2006. I am looking for good bargains and reception planning tips. I would like to go for a buffet style reception to cut costs. Any ideas?

Well your defintely starting at the right time.
Hit the after valentine day sales.
Everything will be on sale, huge discounts.

Oh and yes, buffets are generally cheaper. Also, if your wedding is in the evening you could do a dessert reception. We did this for our 7pm wedding. We put "Dessert and Dance" reception on the invite. So, if people weren`t sure they would KNOW to eat their meal ahead of time. It worked out well for us, so much cheaper. The guest liked it, they got to try all sorts of desserts.

My sister is getting married 19th febuary and her florist said that she will give her tons of red flower petals for free due to Valentine`s day the florist is in charge of decorations so the rose petals will be everywhere like on the tables around the cake etc. So ask your florist if he/she can do the same roses are so romantic and your hall will smell good!!! Also the florist told my sister due to Valentine`s day they order tons of roses so it`s a little cheaper going for a bouquet of roses, so she has red roses and the bridesmaids have red dresses with a white rose bouquet. And also at IKEA my sister got little red candle light holders to go around her big center pcs on the tables and they were under 1$.

Oh, yeah...I don`t know what your wedding colors are but ours were red and ivory.
It turned out really good, if you would like to see some pictures I could email you a link.
We also did roses, roses everywhere! I found a place to buy them straight from the grower, I paid $400 for 500 roses, including shipping. Great deal. I can give you the info if you like, just email me.
