Hell, if it is a 30th birthday party, why not just take her and a couple of close friends to your favorite local bar, and while you are starting the night off with a couple of drinks there, you have a crapload of people getting together and later meet up with them and just get sloshed. If it`s a 30th, that`s what I would want!! Hope it helps!

I know this birthday has passed but just in case someone looking for an idea....the best birthday party idea ever was my homegirl threw me a Heaven party and had everyone dress in white(including telling me to come in white) and had white cake and white candles lit as the only light everywhere and clear and white balloons on ceiling and white everywhere and had each person to write me something meaningful how they feel about me and our friendship or relationship and each person took a turn reading theirs or some could just give to you(for like if you was to go to Heaven what people would want to say to you) , and she had white types food and a white basket with gifts themed in it.It was the bomb and sooo memorable.
