BLACK For A Summer Wedding

SORRY, I already asked this, but I can`t seem to get the responses. It`s saying there`s an error.

I was just wondering if blackbridesmaids is appropriate for a September 7th wedding? I think it would be beautiful, but I don`t want to be inappropriate. I would be using Cala LIly flowers.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I was also wondering what other colour would go well with the black and white. I dont` really want red. I was thinking a light blue flower.

ANy ideas is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Happy planning!!!

I know of a bride who is having her bridesmaids in black in June. If you can do it, go for it. Try to keep the bridesmaids in mind though - is it going to be an outdoor ceremony during the day in the sun when the temperature will be really uncomfortable? If so, you might want a lighter color for the sake of your melting bridesmaids. Platinum is a gorgeous color and the lighter shade will not fry the girls! Good luck!

I am having my wedding in August in New Orleans (hot) and my BMs are wearing black and each one is picking her own dress so they will be comfortable. Their flowers are baby blue, pink, lavender, cobalt blue and yellow. The wedding will be late afternoon and I think the black will keep it formal and elegant, yet simple. Also I didn`t want to look back 15 years from now and wonder, "what was I thinking" with some trendy color. Timeless is what I am going for. :)
Good Luck

I got married 4 years ago, July....and my 6 bridesmaids wore black dresses and the wedding was beautiful!! To top that off, we got married in a Catholic Church with all the traditional ceremony! Not to mention they look great with the guys in their Tux`s!
On my wedding day, it hit 100 degrees, and not one person complained. Everybody is going to be happy, that you just asked them to be in your wedding, don`t worry about if people will be griping about your colors. They are going to have fun in whatever you choose.

I am getting married on June 29, 2002 and my bridesmaids are wearing black, they picked out their attire and love it because it is a very slimming colour and they can wear the outfit again. We are using wine coloured roses for our flowers. Get your photographer to do some black & white pictures too, they will be absolutely gorgeous. A friend of mine had a black & white wedding and her pictures were fabulous! It is your day so do it your way!

My wedding is coming up in June 2004 and I am having the same questions about having my bridesmaids wear black. I was thinking of black, chiffon, to the floor...strappy. I think it would look great, but isn`t 6 bridesmaids a lot of black!!!? I wish I could see some pictures! I would like lavender and silver as the accent colours. Any suggestions on flowers???

I am ALSO having a wedding in summer 2004 and am thinking about black for my bridesmaids. If anyone has a pic of their bridesmaids wearing black that they would be willing to let me look at I would GREATLY appriciate it.

I would also love to see a picture of bridesmaids wearing black in a summer wedding. I have 6 bridesmaids and two juniors and have changed my mind and am going with lilac. I think it looks really nice and summery, but I still have black on my mind.

Best wishes!
