Wedding Shower
Has anyone been to a shower where you don`t wrap the gifts. I have and I want to give a shower like that but i can`t find the poem that was enclosed with the invitation that explains why you shouldn`t wrap the gifts. It was the best shower ever!! All the gifts were beautifully displayed with placecards telling who brought the gift and you did,t have to sit through the boredom of watching each gift opened. The bride loved it because she was able to visit all her guests and have a good time.

I am actually hosting one in April! I thought it was a great idea, however the future in-laws are causing friction- so be warned. I went to one a year ago and It was terrific. The bride got to spend more time with each guest and we all got to see the gifts at our leisure. Besides, every shower I have been to the guest lose interest after 1/2 hr 45 minutes. I have the following but I am still working on something better. Good Luck! I am so glad there are other people doing this.
Our bride has requested an alternative way
To make sure she spends time with all on her day
We have an idea, to cut down on waste.
But please don`t think of it in bad taste
Should you grace her with a gift
Traditional wrap is not what she wishes
So how do you wrap let say… dishes?
Be creative, adventurous-in baskets, cellophane, ribbons and such,
So everyone could look and maybe touch.
Kindly bring it unwrapped, we’ll display the gifts for all to see
We know this kind gesture would fill her heart with glee

I went to a shower like this but it was a little different. The game was for the bride to guess who bought what. It was nice. I really enjoyed how people thought to give the gifts they purchased.
