Planning A Bridal Shower

I was just curious as to how to go about planning an out of town Bridal Shower. My sister is getting married and I want to help her as much as possible. I live in Buffalo, NY and she lives in Syracuse, NY (2 hours apart).
I want it to be a really special Shower. Any input would be wonderful.
