Promise Rings
Hey , this is kinda odd but i need some peoples opinion other than my own on this subject , i gave my girlfriend of 1 year and 6 months a promise ring and she wanted to wear it on her left hand where you would normally wear an engaugment ring , but her mother told her that she shouldnt wear it on that hand because it meant pre-enguagement , but my feeling on it is that it dosnt mean anything if its worn on the right hand , im not proposing pre enguagment but it is a commitment to stay together and a promise to love forever , being that , should it not be worn on the left hand or does it not matter ? i just think that even though it might not be pre-enguagment that it should still be worn on that finger because its still commitment and it just dosnt feel right to me if she dosnt wear it on that finger , it feels like it dosnt mean anything , please respond if anyone can help me out on this

My view on that is that if its a promise to stay together and love eachother forever, and your not getting engaged bc people consider that as setting a date...but your gunna stay together then it`s a pre-engagment (you will remain together but no date set) so i think she should wear it on her left hand bc thats more personal, closer to the heart, if you really love her like you say you do and want to be with her forever then u want it near her heart...if people ask if shes engaged, she just simply says no..hope that helps
