Trishas Formals - Help

Hi Girls,

Wondering if you can help me, I have ordered several dresses (12 in total) from Trishas Formals and I am a tad worried.
I am based in England and buy dresses from in the states and sell them at a lesser price here in the UK as they are about 3 times more expensive over here.
Anyway, I have ordered these dresses from Trishas Formals over the last month or so and none are due in until Februaury. I have not had any contact from Patty for the last 10days despite emailing and calling several times and I am now beginning to panic as I will have 12 very angry brides after my blood if I do not come up with these dresses. Not to mention being about $9000 out of pocket.
I have been reading some replies that have mentioned Patty and wondered if anyone has an alternative number for her or have spoken to her recently.
I know that she may be having a real hard time at the moment but I just need to know if i am going to get these dresses. I am sure everything will be fine but just need to hear from her.
I would appreciate anyones help (Kimmy I have read that you can contact her).
Thanks to all of you,

From a wee english girl

Kimmy,

WHAT???!!!! Trisha`s Formals went out of business?!!! Since when??!! I ordered my dress from her last month and she said nothing about going out of business. Can you post the number you have for her? I have been getting no answer by phone or by email. OMG, what am I supposed to do? I have no money now to find another gown someplace else. Kimmy, who told you she is out of business? Don`t her clients have rights in this instance? I am starting to panic.....PARTYPOP, since you read all the posts and they registered with you, can you HELP???!!!!!!!, rather than just read posts?

Patty closed her physical shop in North Carolina & her online store. I have a feeling she did this because her husband has had heart problems in the past (uad. Bypass surgery) & now his blood pressure is high again & I think she feels like she is not devoting enough time to him. She also told me things were too stressfull & no longer fun. That is probablly why you are not getting an answer when you call. She didn`t say anything about doing any more dresses to me. My dresses are scheduled to be to her on Wednesday of this comming up week & she told me that was the final set of dresses she was doing. So, I don`t know.. The only way I found this out was by e-mailing her & just asking her what was going on with her. She has been acting really strange lately. I don`t know what is really wrong with her. I told her whatever problems she was having I`d do my best to help her through them, but she does not want to tell me what is going on, other than her husband having heart problems. She does not come on here any more & will probablly have her name removed as a vendor. Have you been calling 704-913-0856?? I have a home phone # which I swore on my grandmother`s grave I would never give out to anyone on here so, I will not post it but if you e-mail me I will give that to you. I hope you are not paniacing too much, if you guys had a contract I am confident she will hold up her end. Although, it would have been nice if she would have let ALL her clients know she was going out of business. I hope I have helped you. :)

Hi Girls,
I had a very bad experience with Patty recently (as you may see from my earlier posts). My dress came in wrong and Patty is refusing to do anything about )even though it is contracted) and seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth. Now that I see your posts vs. What`s she told Kimmy, I`m very worried for all of you!! My best advice is not to give her one dime - even if she does send you your order it might not be correct and she won`t do anything about it!!!! Go ahead and start actions to get any money you`ve already paid back through the yahoo store, paypal, or your credit card. If you haven`t received anything yet, Paypal/Yahoo should be able to help.

I`d appreciate if you could keep me in the loop with any contact info you find that is working to contact Patty. My email is bdcarte@comcast.net.

Let`s band together and get this woman from scamming us all!!

I understand her situation. If she can`t help me with the dress, I understand, just refund me the money and I will wish her and her husband the best of the best.

I don`t know what to tell you gals..I have not heard from Patty in over a week.. I just figured she was probablly busy with Christmas & stuff...it was not right for Patty to take orders a month before she was closing...unless she did not know she was closing & just kind of did it on a whim...which I am thinking that may be the case. I`d contact Patty & tell her that there has been talk that she is closed (which she is) & then I would ask her if she is still going to go ahead & complete your order. If she is not, ask for a refund...or since you paid via credit card, contact your company & try to get the charge reversed. Yes, I consider Patty my friend, BUT...she should have let all the gals know she was closing her store. Or at least contacted them after she had closed to let everyone know what was going on. I feel that was her obligation as a vendor...but I am not her so, all I can do is tell you what I know...which is not very darn much...I will try to contact her today & see what is up.

:(. I ordered a dress from Patty last month also and I believe this is the same Patty we are all referring to. Just so I don`t seem ignorant, is this `Patty` that everybody is losing contact with had a physical shop next to a Food Lion in Maiden? If so, then that`s the Patty I know. I don`t know what I am going to do. I have e-mailed her and asked her when she will refund my money since her store went down and considering how she has family problems to deal with, I do sympathize with her. However, my parents are not going to let me buy a different dress until I get my refund back. This will be my first "date" with friends, and I want to go to Prom. Can somebody help me? I really want to go and I need my money back. As of December 24th, she replied to my e-mail saying that she will refund my money, however, I have yet to see the fruits of those words. I figured since it was holidays, that the mail must be a little slow. But I have gotten mail from friends on the remotes places of North Carolina. HOpefully, Patty gets well enough to be a good person and take up responsibility.

Betsy:

Patty wrote me and explained what is going on. I ordered via credit card so it seems I will get my money back, but if I understood well what she says the other gals who paid by check or cash, won`t be so lucky. Kimmy posted the same explanation plus some more details from me and other gals in another forum called Trisha`s Bridal Update, so go there and GOOD LUCK on your wedding. If you are goging to file a legal demand and you need anything from me let me now. My email is chumiquin@hotmail.com

FYI to all Brides to be

Only buy your gown from an authorized retailer - either online or in a store. Only authorized retailers can sell you the gown. It is obvious that Patty is NOT an authorized retailer for Maggie. She stated a that "her broker" - right there lies the problem. First of all Maggie PROHIBITS retailers selling their gowns on line or below the MSRP!! And when you deal with a seller who uses a "broker" problems like this happen.
No bride should have to go through this on what is suppose to be the happiest day of her life so if you do not want to get scammed or ruined your day, do your homework. Many on-line sellers have full service stores that offer the gowns on-line at discount prices but just make sure that they are a REAL buiness. Check with the BBB, check with the deisgner to see if they are authorized to sell their gowns, get phone numbers and USE a major credit card for protection. There are many good vendors here who like what they do and do it honestly. But you the buyer have to protect yourselves since you are not doing the sale in person. I hope the brides who got scammed by this Patty receive their gowns of their dreams and there are many vendors here to help you.
As far as Partypop goes, I feel the owners of this site better do a better job of checking out vendors before they are allowed to use this site a source to scam any more brides out of their hard earned money and their dreams.

Good luck to all you brides and best wishes!!

REAL VENDOR just as bluntly as I can put it, screw you! You know nothing about me or who I am or what happend with my business. Everyone out there who reads this and goes oh my GOD how unprofessional! Well you can just deal with it too. I am so tired of this Sh*t you people don`t have a clue as to the truth. You want to call me a scammer do so but when your business goes to SH*T and people talk crap and makes up lies just because they THINK they know what has happend in your personal and business life then come talk to me but otherwise kiss my AS*.

Well Patty RIGHT BACK AT YOU!!!

If you were an `authorized retailer, then maybe you would not be having these poblems. But as many people have found out from Maggie, you are not an authorized to sell Maggies.
As far as your personal issuses, I was not trying to add to them. I hope all works out with you and your husband but as a professional vendor, you have to somehow leave that behind when you are dealing with peoples money and dreams.
So again I wish you and your husband well.

Patty,
I can`t believe your post. Now, on top of everything, you are actually cussing at people, and telling them to kiss your a$$? You can`t possibly be for real. Now, you look like someone with no class at all on top of your business going belly-up. Have some class about yourself. Come on here like you have some class or sense, post ways to contact you so you can deal with all your disappointed brides. I don`t believe you intended to scam anyone, but when you closed your shop without notifying customers who paid you, that`s how they felt. Now, you`re leaving posts telling people to think what they want? How dare you. Hey, brides out there....what is Patty`s last name and any other information you have? Please post it. This is how you get the word out there so these vendors don`t try to do this all over again under assumed personal and business names. The best thing you can do for yourself now Patty is refrain from responding using curse words. Now that you are lashing out at others, you look like a jerk on top of someone who may have gotten some sympathy had you not posted such rude replies. STAY OUT of this business. Clearly, it is not for you.
