My Fall Wedding
I am planning a october 8th 2005 wedding and would really like to go with a fall theme but am lost. I really like the idea of reds, oranges, and yellows as a base for the wedding but then to incorporate other things into that just has my mind boggled! anyone with ideas or pictures, please i would love to hear from you, it is an formal late afternoon outdoors ceremony and an indoor reception.
Thanks:)

I`m getting married October 1st 2005, and I too am doing a fall wedding theme. Some ideas- use pumpkins to line the isle (outdoors) and pumpkins as flower vases for the center pieces. Sprinke fall leaves on the tables, and hollow out mini-pumpkins and add votive candles (they glow wonderfully and smell like a jack-o-lantern). Do a fall harvest menu - think Thanksgiving... And do wild flowers and fall colored flowers with hypercum berries. Offer guests cider and cider donuts and pumpkin bread with coffee after dinner.
Just a few things I`m doing to create the fall theme, I`m also hosting the reception in an old tavern, with a roaring fire, and Irish celtic music band...
Good luck & congradulations too!

Would you mind sharing your fall wedding pictures with me? I`m getting married Oct 15, 2005 and I`m really getting nervous about the flowers. I am having the ceremony outside and we plan to decorate the reception with fall/harvest type decor (pumpkins, gourds, indian corn etc). I would really love to see what other people have done. Thank you! My email address is rct@mtco.com

I too, am a fall bride to be. I am getting married September 17, 2005. I have been looking for nice fall floral arrangements and for my bouquet. As anyone out there looking for cascading bouquets?
Also, when is it time to tell the guys to be fitted for their tuxes? I`ve had the bridesmaids and the flowergirls try their dresses and get measured.

I am having my bouquet made in silks in a cascading style with fall colors from fleurrouge.com
They have a bunch of fall inspired sets. You can look at the examples there.
As far as tuxes go, at all the places we`ve been to, they say you should pick out styles at least a couple months in advance. (We picked ours out 6 months before - why wait?) The guys usually get fitted a month before the wedding, and no later than 2 weeks. They can be measured in ANY tux shop for free usually. Kind of an industry courtesy. Those measurements can be called into the shop/company you are using, so they don`t have to come into your town to be fitted if they live in a distant place.
A lot of places we talked to said there was an extra fee if they waited until after the 2 week mark passed. Most won`t be able to help you without at least a week`s notice (plus the fee), period. They usually have to order it and get it shipped.
The tuxes are usually available to picked up on a Thursday or so (so they can catch any mistakes and fix them ASAP) and have to be returned on Sunday for a Saturday wedding.
Hope this helps!

I got married October 11 and had a fall theme. IT WAS GORGEOUS!!! Some ideas i used:
1. Instead of throwing roses (flower girl) throw fake leaves.
You can find them at any craft store.
2. Incorporate pumpkins, gords, berries, etc... Anything that goes with your color scheme and is in season. Especially if you`re having an outside wedding. (for decorations)
3. For my bridesmaid dresses i got them from David`s Bridal. The color i used was Cinnamon. I really had to stick up for myself on this color but when the dresses came in EVERYONE fell in love with them!!! Also, you can get matching tuxes through a tux shop they work with. This color looks amazing set off by black tuxes. I think creme would work too but not white if you`re going with that.
4. I had a four-tier cake (creme/off white color) with fall colored roses, gerbera daisies, mini calla`s, etc... In between each layer and as a topper. I also had the cake lady do a basket weave on the whole thing which really brought a sense of country to it. But it still looked VERY elegant!
5. At my church i used the candelabras and candle holders attatched to the pews for the majority of the light during the ceremony. Having all the candles lit really make it look romantic and beautiful!
If you have any other questions or need further ideas please email me! I would love to help you out! I had SUCH a hard time finding ideas that were classy and fall themed!
Congratulations to all of you and I know your weddings will be BEAUTIFUL!!!

I am getting married Oct. 1 in the late afternoon (this year) I need ideas for an outside wedding as far as decor! It will be in South AL. We will be transporting the guests to a sand bar that is on a river. There will be about 25 guests (small and simple). I am trying to decorate without it looking cheesy! Also remember I have to get all decor there by boat! Please email me at vixenlove219@excite.com ASAP with ideas. I barely check this board. Help and thanks.

I am getting married this october on the 15th and we are planning a fall wedding also for our stuff we also liked the deep ornages reds and greens and yellows so i thought that it might help if you knew some of the ideas that we decieded to use we started with the gfall leaves for decorations on thinds we used them on the arch we are getting married under and on some of the tables for the centerpieces we used dark reds and greens for candles and we placed a decor of fall flowers and pussy willows and such throughout and placed them around the candles and used them for centerpieces you can find all this at the local craft stores they should have tons out right now being fall and all we also used little pumpkins gords and leaves to place to make the food table look festive and we had a basket filled with minature pumpkins like they were a pumpkin patch placed through out so people could take them home we used fall wrapped hearshey kisses and placed on them in a little bag with leaves on it he loves me he loves me not he must love me cause we tied the night.
