Catholic Wedding
Well im getting married august 20, 2005 and i`ll be getting married in a catholic church, but since i`ve never planned a wedding i dont know how to decorate or arrange anything in the church. The church is so strict i mean my flower girls cant even throw there flowers down the isle and i cant even have my quest throw wedding rice or have bubbles, so i need to know what you`ll think about this. What is i were to get so many hellium silver balloons and when we come out of the chruch everone can let them go. Please someone write back to tell me what you`ll think.thanks

Hi, i think its ok, tho maggie has a point about d balloons floating too quickly. U cld get balloons in ur wedding colours. Wot about releasing doves? i know some celebrities have done this, but am not sure abt animal rights, bird poo etc. Wot about using d confetti, flowers etc at d reception? will dey allow that?

Might be a little expensive, and it would only be appropriate in warm weather, but folks have released butterflies.
Not sure about releasing birds. I`d only do that if you were dead sure the birds wouldn`t be harmed during the whole process (or vulnerable in the location you release them). Birds are great little creatures. Don`t hurt them!

I know with my church we are not allowed to have ballons because they would end up all over the neighborhood. As for the flower girl, I think that they are talking about real flowers. I would see if they would let here throw fake rose petals. Most Catholic churches are ok with that. As for butterflies. Also, not a good idea. The thing is it is a real hassle to take care of them and put them in the little boxes for everyone to release. It is very time comsuming. My friend did it and said she would never do it again. I know that Catholic churches allow bubbles as long as they are handed out after the ceremony and not before. They are afraid that someone will spill the liquid. So I would stick with bubbles and have someone hand them out as people are going through the receiving line. Hope that helps.
