Hi TIffany - I would love to help you out as I could hand paint votives for you with Hawaiin Flowers, or whatever you would like on them....You can visit my web site for pictures of my work. I have also done toasting flutes in the past as favors, of course I would give you a discounted price rather than per pair. But take a look it would be a fun theme to do !

Maybe you can get the painted glasses from Connie and then find the Hawaiian flower wine glass charms to put on them. That will really look nice.

I am thinking pineapples. If that were my theme, I would work out a way to hollow out a fresh pineapple and fill it with fresh flowers and greenery. I went to a wedding this past summer and the centerpieces for the buffet tables were watermelons cut like baskets and filled with flowers. It was beautiful.

Goodygirl, I like your idea for the pineapple. Use these as a display on the buffet table or all the tables? For the entrace into the reception I went on line to partyplum.com and found a moss runner it is really cute. Do you think that the moss runner for the entrance will be alittle too much?

I hope to help others that might come across this thread as well! my husband and i are renewing our vows next month with our dream wedding. I have made all the decorations, favors, everything! My invitations were messages in a bottle. Little bit of colored sand in the bottle, small seashells, and the invitation rolled up and placed in the bottle with a ribbon on it to pull the paper out easily. Corked then handed out. They can also be boxed and mailed for a small fee. For the reception tables i bought large seashells and will scatter them along the table, center of the table i bought single bud vases from walmart $.97 acrylic water kits $6 and does 4 bud vases and silk orchid bushes $4 Each orchid bush has 6 stems on it which i cut off and put a little bit of colored sand left over from the invitations and small shells as well. Then i filled the vase about 1/4 of the way with the acrylic water and insterted one of the orchid stems. I will also be scattering little strands of pearls on the tables. We will have luau music playin in the background via surround sound system and a few storebought cds. The food tables will have grass skirts about $9 from orientaltrading.com and hibiscus flowers *loose* scattered. We will also have pinapples on a few tables, and our wedding favors as well. For our wedding favors we wanted a touch of humor so we are giving little single serving packets of spam with a little tulle round that has 2 starfish soaps in them attached to the packet of spam. The pew decorations are very simple with just calla lily single stems with white ribbon cris-crossing up the stem and forming a simple bow. The church we are beng married in is very beautiful and doesnt need much for decoration. Our decorations have only cost us about $200 total for the church decorations and reception decor for 12 guest tables, wedding favors and food buffet tables. If anyone wants to see a pic i will happily share just email me at bethmiller1978@yahoo.com .
