Sweet 16 Budget

Hi I`m almost 15 years old and I`m planning my `Sweet 16.` I would like it to be a very formal affair, like a quinceanera. Do you think that this would be appropriate? If so how much do you think it would cost? I plan around the $1000 mark. I would plan on buying a dress, shoes, getting hair done, nails done, tiara, candles for candle-lighting ceremony, porcelin doll, balloons, decorations and invitations. I would not have to pay for a DJ because my cousin is one and he could do it and I would not have to pay for a place to have it because I would have at my Grandpa`s house, which has a very big yard. The party would be in July. I would also ask on the invitations that every family bring thier favorite side dish and my family would also make some food too. How would I go about earning money for this special occasion? My mom won`t help me, and I don`t have any God Parents. If you could help me it would be very much appreciated.

I am a college student and do some photography work on the side. I would be willing to do some pictures of your party for free as a present if it is in Michigan or Ohio. I know how it is when family members don`t want to or can`t help on a special occasion. Bygreeks4greeks@yahoo.com

Sorry Jane that your parents can`t or won`t help you pay for your sweet sixteen but you can start earning money by having lilttle talents shows. You and your friends, sisters, cousins, or whoever are willing to help do a talents that have dancing, singing, comedy, magic, or whatever you are good at. Other ideas are to start a lemonade stand since it is summer now, wash cars, walk neighbors dogs, go to the gocery for other people who are disabled or to busy to shop for themself, babysit, or clean your neighbors or relative yard. Ideas for making money are endless and since your party is going to be next year, you have time on your side. Also, if you want your party to be an endless memory, you are going to need a little more money. Like $2,000 would be a better price. Also, an other idea is to ask your neighbor to sponsor you but that is only if you are not a trouble maker or someone who gets in fights or illegal situations. I hope you get everything you want and need for your special day
