Event Planner

Hi. I have an Associates degree in ASL Interpreting. I know that has nothing to do with Event Planning but doing some research on it, I would LOVE to get into that for a career. I think I would be very good at it. Can someone tell me what type of degree or certificate is needed, if needed at all? What should my steps be on finding out more info.?
