Justice Of The Peace

Hi,
I really need help with this. My fiancee and I want to get married in front of the justice of the peace because right now we can`t afford to have a chapel wedding. I found out that the marrige license for the state of Missouri is only valid for 30 days! And I was wondering if any one knew just how you would go about this type of wedding.

Kristin- My husband and I were married in a courthouse. (We just celebrated our first anniversary.) The judge read a couple of nice poems, and we were happy with the ceremony. We had invited only our close family. I believe you can personalize the ceremony if you wish, by having the judge read poems or verses you have chosen. Let me know if you have any other questions. Kristen-

My fiance and I are doing a court house wedding to avoid expense and also a lot of other issues (when one side has way more that the other for attendants). Contact the magistrate at your local court house. They can set up an appointment for your wedding. It costs $10.00 where we are from and you can have between 10 and 30 people depending on which room you get.
