Holly...Here are a few ideas. I don`t know how crafty you but it helps a little. Since we are paying for this ourselves, being crafty is the name of the game. I am going to use more balloons than flowers. Balloons are cheaper and when you are thru, they pop. No storage. Place a few balloon bouquets on various tables. I am also making a balloon arch with silver hanging stars to go above the head table. You can buy a book or find instructions on the net. I am also using lots of candles. Look at the dollar store for silver pillars. Use 2 or 3 per table with some greenery and voila! centerpiece. You can get some navy tulle with silver sparkles in it at any fabric store. Wrap the small white christmas lights in it and use it for stairways or on the cake table or even wrap it around a pole. It looks very pretty. I want my cake to be a 3 layer star . Wilton makes a pan thats star shaped. As far as favors go I am undecided. I thought of buying metal star cookie cutter putting a wick in the center and making a candle. The wax should slide right out giving them a star shaped candle as well as a cookie cutter. Well, these are some ideas hope you can use them. If you think of more let me know.

Spray the edges of the cookie cutter with cooking spray... I learned that the hard way... Lol

Thanks Donna! Those are really great ideas. We went to Michaels and bought all of these little glass fishbowls when they were like 1/2 off. My mom found floating star candles at the dollar store. We`re going to put navy marbles in the fishbowls, fill them with water, and put the star floating candles in. We also found silver and navy glitter stars that we`re going to sprinkle around the fishbowls. I think we`re going to go with a star cake for a shower and have a traditional wedding cake, but with that star cake topper I posted above. The napkins will be navy with a silver moon and stars on them, and the invitations...well, here is a picture of the invitations:

I have found some other celestial invitations, I think there are more at princessweddinginvitations.com, but if you want the URL`s just ask. Oh! And the bouquet will have those starburst flowers in it. I am also looking for tiaras with stars in them. I have found some (I have the pictures on another computer) but none that really grabbed me. Some were kind of cheesy...I am looking for a more elegant one.

I`m not getting them from Princess; we found a store here that has them. I am having trouble finding celestial themed wedding programs...so far NO place I`ve looked has anything like that. They`re all flowers or pictures of kids holding hands or something.
Any suggestings??

This site is too cool. Lots of celestial things. They have tiara`s-look under themes parties-stars. Also under the stars theme there are invitations and a "booklet" you could maybe use for a program. Take in mind that they are not the usual or formal kinds but very nice to say the least.

No, I hadn`t seen those...thanks! Some were really nice. (LOVE THE PRICES!!) Some we had seen in the store were close to $300...no way! I`m gonna have to put this site in my favorites though. They have lots of neat things.
