Step Mom Of The Groom
My husband and I have paid or given his son and fiance a check for $1500K towards wedding expenses. We received the invitation to find my husband and his ex were not even mentioned on the invite. As if the groom has no parents!
I`m mad as I feel hurt for my husband. I`m reluctant to follow through on party favors as orginally planned, if I could get away with it I wouldn`t even attend!
Any advise?

I`m curious . . . Did the invitiation include the brides` parents?

Of course the brides step dad of less than a year was included as well as her mom.
Since receiving the invitatation I`ve since realized that I must either be old fashion and somewhat traditional. I`ve also excepted the fact that this young lady has a lot to learn in life as do her parents about etiquette. I`ve resolved myself to the fact that this is the last time I will be taken to the bank!

I`m getting married in May, and while my parents have offered to pay for small things, part of the photography or the flowers or such, and my fiance`s mom is hosting the rehearsal dinner, we are issuing the invites in our names only. Neither parents have paid for a majority of anything, and Josh`s father wont give us a cent. Instead of causing issues with his mom on the invite or my parents, we are doing it with our names. I actually told my parents to use the money towards my school loans vs helping us pay, since the $500 or so they offered is much better put towards things with interest. Our wedding budget is around $7000, so we`re low-key here. But, maybe her parents are paying for a lot more than you??? otherwise, just ask why you arent on the invites......
