Well being my children are spanish, I`ve been to a few weddings. Rice and Gandules are like one of the most popular dishes served at every function I`ve been too. Theres such a variety of things they serve thats just an example, its great that you are going to be finding out about another culture. Good luck !

Hola!!
In Spain for a wedding like in the USA, they serve all kinds of food. For apetizers: chorizo, jamon, cheese, tortilla de patatas, callos, boquerones en vinagre, etc.
For the main course, a lot of times it depends on the region, roasted pigglet, roasted lamb, paella, etc, always a bunch of seafood, russian salad, churrascos, etc. And for desserts, besides the cake, they can have all kind of "bolleria". If you will llike to get any especifics, please e-mail me, I will try to help you as musch as possible. Reme.mattice@moody.af.mil
Thank you and good luck!!
