Marring With Children
The man I’m marring has 3 children and I have one. All of them get along great and I would like to make them apart of our wedding ceremony by presenting them with a token to symbolize the unit they are about to join. What should we say to each child (age 2 to 13 years old)?

As a wedding photographer I have photographed many weddings with a situation such as yours. It is an excellent idea to give each child a token of their own. Might be a neckage, rings, plaque or whatever you feel will convey your love and sincerity to the children. Sometime during the ceremony the both of you speak how you feel and then give each child their individual token. It will leave a lasting memory with the children, family and friends. Go for it!

Hello, i am in the same situation as you. Between us both we have 4, 3 boys, 10, 10, and 13, and a little girl 4, which is ours. The 3 boys are standing up for my future husband, which 2 of them are his, along with his best man, and our little girl is our flower girl. I never in a million years would have thought of doing something like that, it is a wonderful idea, especially the one that said say something to each of them to let them know you love them as your own and to take care of them,( during the ceremony.) EXCELLENT IDEA...

Unity candle... Buy a three wick candle (or have the kids make one together), have 2 kids light one wick while the other 2 and bride and groom light the other wicks to unite the families.

I too have children that we used in the ceremony. My son 9 walked me to the the front of the aisle where my daughter had just walked before me. All 3 of us walked down the aisle and the kids gave me away.
