I need to hear stories from brides who bought one wedding dress, changed their mind and bought a different one. Did you sell dress #1? If so, where was the best place to do that? What made you decide to bite the bullet and buy a second dress? Where did you find the best deals on your second dress? What is a reasonable price to ask for a never worn $3000 dress?
Story: I bought an Amsale dress and I really think I`ve changed my mind. My wedding is in May, my dress won`t be in for at least another 2 months, but I`ve really changed my mind on the "look" I want for my wedding. I blew my whole gown budget on my first dress, but I can`t stand the idea of not loving my wedding gown. I am a size 6, so I will need to alter any sample. I don`t know whether to order a new gown from a discount website, buy a sample and get it altered, buy a previously worn gown, or just wear the gown I bought. I would love to hear similar stories and what you decided to do.

Angela, I am sorry to hear you changed your mind, I just got engaged so I don`t have any experience in that area, but if you do decide to sell your dress I would be interested. Let me know, and good luck either way.

My boss bought 3! She still has them all, wore one, and still has the other two gowns that she`s going to sell. She really only had two altered b/c she could not decide between the them. She made a decision about a week before the wedding. I think she found her most inexpensive gown (one she did NOT wear) at David`s Bridals. (I can speak for her because we ALL went through the decison making process with her.) She was not crazy about her first gown, the gown she wore made her mom cry (that`s why she bought it) that was the process.
Try selling on e-bay...I sold mine there and did pretty well...$1,200 for a $2,700 worn gown...
Best of luck!
