Former FYI "employees"
Just a quick response...NONE of the FYI coordinators or interns had anything to do with this mess. All the checks were made to "FYI Events" - not to the independent contractors (ie your wedding coordinator). All of this came out when the coordinators found out their client`s money was not going to the vendors. The coordinators had checks to them from FYI bounce as well. It is all the work of Mechelle and Jaime. The coordinators, vendors, and clients are all victims of FYI.

I can vouch for the posted message. I had contacted Mechelle because her website seemed very promising for a new wedding planner and I worked with her for about two weeks. In that time, I was at first a "contracted" employee, meaning I would get a set salary but I had a bad feeling about everything and later learned that suddenly changed my contracted term to an internship, meaning I wouldn`t be paid. I`m happy I stuck with my instincts and left asap. I know a lot of girls would come and go through her office and she just relied on whatever girl happened to be around to help her with the weddings. Sometimes she would have her friends help her too. Not very professional.
