Dear 23&sad:
I have some questions for you. I know you are upset, but you left out valuable information in your post. Could you provide the rest of the email address of this business, please? The one you mention does not make sense. There is no ending such as hotmail, yahoo, aol, etc., at the end. Also, what size and style Oleg Cassini did you order? What is the name of the person you did business with? Where is this business located (city and state)? How much did you pay for the Oleg Cassini? And how much did you pay...full price or a discounted price? By what other means other than email have you tried to contact them? Were you ever given their address or phone number? Please respond, because your post raises more questions than answers. Also, maybe a reputable business who sees this may be able to help you.

First and foremost why would dress size and style matter? The fact I didn`t provide the rest of the email and number was for my purpose. I do have the number and all the other information that is needed to contact this person. I don`t feel I need to display it on the internet for others to contact. I have spoken with this person numerous times, and they have discontinued our contact. I do have the address and other information. All I was doing was posting a warning, not the persons credentials or private information. I`m dealing with it through other matters. The only thing I wanted to do was post a warning.

This warning is warranted. I have been browsing this board for a few months and have seen many brides get their heart broken by this vendor. Her name is Lynne and she goes by Melody Row/Elegant Creations and probably more names that I can`t remember. In any case, there are many girls from the knot who have a lawsuit against her. I can`t remember where she is based, but I think it is Pennsylvania, hopefully someone else will respond and you can look up her record at the BBB.

Dear So Sad:
Lisa was asking questions I was going to ask because your warning didnt` provide enough info. The email you gave wasn`t complete, and if you are to warn others, the more information they have, the better. Asking for a first name or a valid email address is not prying. The address wouldn`t be necessary, those 2 things would be enough. It`s also for others to steer clear of that person. She said in her post at the end that reputable vendors may be able to help you, maybe that`s why she asked about the style number of the dress. After all, it sounds like you need a dress. There are vendors here registered and reputable who can help you, why be so defensive? Rather than be defensive, if you would`ve said the dress you`re looking for, you may still have a chance of getting it. I`m also wondering if I was scammed by the same person, but the email address you gave doesn`t make any sense so I`m not sure.

I agree with So Sad....it was not necessary for her to post the size dress she purchased, or the style, or how much she paid for it, or whether it was full price or discounted. All of that information is irrelevant. She was merely warning other people not to do business with the one in question. If there are honest vendors out there that wish to help her out, then she can give out the specific information to them at that time without telling the rest of the world. If someone wants to truly help her out, they will understand that and contact her themselves. If I`m not mistaken, I have seen previous posts regarding this Lynne person, and I don`t believe I would want to take a chance on her anyhow.

I wasn`t being defensive... By all means. I want everyone to know! I just didn`t understand why that was of any concern? The email address was elegantcreatns@aol.com, she told me her name was Michelle and I spoke with her on the phone numerous times. I don`t have the number on me right now to type it in. She was located in Pensylvania and another station in Flordia. (this is what i was told) where the dressed would be shipped from to her, then to me. She was very willing to talk to me and sign a contract in the begining. However, she won`t answer the number anymore. I have all email`s that have been sent to and from that email address even the form I filled out stating what dress i wanted. I also have THREE (showing she`ll try to make you believe the trasactions are real) signed contracts from her and i wrote down the phone calls that were made, what was said, and when. I paid through Paypal through an email address bigfoot_87@hotmail.com. I contacted pay pal but that was too late. However, they said that she did not have the money in that specific count to repay me. They also said she could never sell anything using pay pal again... But who knows how she can get around that. The one thing I am thankful for was that I was very aware that this could possible happen so I wrote down and kept EVERYTHING that had transpired between us. And the fact of ever buying something so expensive over the internet... Well I won`t do that again. But thank you for the concern in finding a dress for me to wear! Atleast someone has a HEART!!!! :o)

Hey....don`t let one bad internet experience get you down. I actually purchased my dress on EBay and used PayPal. Did you pay on PayPal through a checking/savings account, or perhaps a Credit Card? If you used a credit card, contact that company and file a dispute. That is why, even though you are supposed to have protection using PayPal, it is best to ALWAYS use a credit card when purchasing ANYTHING on the internet, you always have some sort of recourse. Good luck!

Hi again,
So sad, you never know. There could be several brides who have the gown you want and willing sell. I just wanted more information and now I know it is the same person and I was probably scammed. I`ve seen other brides post before about looking for a specific gown and size, and they got lucky, there was someone willing to sell them theirs. The first email address you gave wasn`t clear to me, I wanted to know mainly just that, but other information can only help you to get the gown you`re looking for.

So Sad -
Many brides have been scammed by this woman so you are not alone. She goes by Fairytales & More, Elegant Creations, Melody Rowe, Heavenly Accents, etc. She obviously knows how to change her business name and her very own name well. Bigfoot_87 is the name she`ll have you pay with paypal to and she is really located in Hagerstown,
MD. You can check with the BBB on her. Be sure to join the class action lawsuit against her by emailing goldenlrb@aol.com. If you have any doubts, just do a search under any of these names on the knot and you`ll see how many people she`s done this too. I`m sorry this happened to you before someone could warn you, I was about to go with her until I saw the posts here.

I`m still wondering when Partypop is going to do something about "registered vendors" who are nothing more than con artists. Girls, I`ve said this before on this board. Being a registered vendor on partypop means nothing more than you can fill out a registration form and have enough credit on your credit card to pay their fee. It is by no means a verification that your business is real, honest, or even exists.

I agree with you, obviously PartyPop does not do any research on these companies that register with them. Which would definitely make me think twice before I would deal with any vendor on this site. I just went to http://www.fairytaleweddingsandmore.com/services.html and again, under payments, this person has a PayPal account that you are to pay through. THIS SHOULD RAISE A RED FLAG TO ANYONE!!!!!!! Why should you pay through PayPal? Why do they not accept credit cards directly???? Because if they did that, then there would be some recourse for anyone who did not receive their merchandise. Obviously PayPal isn`t any help in this matter either, despite the fact that they claim there is security in using their service. The bottom line here is Buyer Beware. Do not do business with ANYONE (unless perhaps it is a private sale from an individual) if you cannot pay for your dress with a credit card. And do NOT pay for the entire purchase unless you (again, unless you have made an agreement with another individual that is NOT a business) are very comfortable doing so. Most places will permit you to pay so much then pay the balance when the dress is delivered. Just use common sense when you are doing this, and remember if it sounds too good to be true, 99.99% of the time it IS too good to be true and run, quickly, the other way!!!!!!

Yeah...right. There is a `contact us` button on their website.....flood it with comments on their shoddy business and see how long it takes for the website to disappear.

I called them out as being con-artists and they made up all kinds of excuses that sounded good, but I saw right through them. Their website is the latest ploy to sound honest. If you go to paypal, you can check out their status; it says NEW, which means this is a newly opened account with no viable transactions in the last 30 days.
