Depo-Provera
My first Depo shot was about 2 years before I meet my fiance, in late 1999. I gained weight. Went from competing in beauty pageants to can`t fit into my fat dresses anymore. About 30 lbs all together. I got my normal reminder for my shot in early June 2004. When I called, the doctor had screwed up the date and I was too late to get my shot. So just like everyone I have heard from, I have been waiting for my period. In the meantime, I have gotten engaged and I am planning my wedding for January 1st and I have moved in with my fiance. I just got it yesterday and since I have a new health program I can`t even get into see my new doctor about getting an other shot. So I was left to doing some research.... We are not planning on having kids for a couple of years. The shot sounded good again, until I found out that I can not get into see a dr. In time. Maybe the pill again, but I always get headaches from them. I figure to hear from other depo and former depo girls and what their advise is might help make up my decision. Thanks for your help.

I am investigating the possible connection between Depo Provera and an array of hormone related/affected illnesses, included (but not limited to) Cushing`s disease/syndrome and pituitary tumors.
