No matter what, contact the BBB, the police in her area to find out what you can do if it is not in the same state and have your lawyer send her a letter. First you must call (if you haven`t already) and see what you can do about the refund directly from the company. Write down each time that you have called and the person that you spoke with. Contact the BBB and you will need the names, dates, times and situation reported to them so that they can do their job. They will help. Also if you purchased it online, then also file the Internet Fraud report through the FBI.

I ordered a gown from Melody that never showed up. I too tried to be civil. Finally I sent a nasty e-mail telling her that I was going to contact my credit card company (I used one through PayPal) and make a non-receipt of good complaint. I also sent a copy of the e-mail to the the county Sheriff`s department. And wham bam she processed my refund through PayPal. Good Luck!!

I also ordered a gown from Melody and actually DID put a report in through paypal and also my credit card. As soon as she received the info from paypal that I was reporting her, I had a refund. Immediately. If you paid with a credit card, go that route. If not, contact the local Sherrif. I can`t remember his name, but he knows the case. I`ve talked to him. He`s a sargeant. Ganley I think is his name. Good luck.

Thank You all... Unfortunately, I paid with a check... Wouldn`t you know she cashed that baby without hesitation.. But thanks to switchboard.com i know her town info, so I will contact the sheriff... Also, what is her e-mail address... I got my original order info from aubrey6775@aol.com, but I`m not sure if that is really her or not... My original e-mail also had someone from an insurance company copied on it.. I have all of them saved, but am just not sure if it`s her.. Again, thank you all for your help.

Well, the sheriff just told me I have to contact the police department in my town and let the ball roll from there... AArrgh.. This is getting so annoying.

I had the exact thing happen to me. I ordered wine flutes from her and never got them and never got them. Finally the day before my wedding I got 40 of them and I had ordered over 200. They were all broken. I have been trying to get a hold of her, but she won`t answer my emails or my calls. It is so frustrating. Her name is all over the place. Has anyone made any ground as far as getting your money back. I am trying to figure out what I can do. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks everyone.

LISTEN - IF YOU WANT TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK- CALL THE STATE POLICE. There are SEVERAL postings of her. It took me personally 6 months to get my $ back & the only time she got serious was after the state police contacted her when I called the state police- also call the SHERIF in hagerstown, md - BOTH = CALL BOTH. They will be of GREAT assistance.

Just FYI, she also uses the name Erika. My wife, who also fell victim to this crook, just received a mailing from Dyeables Shoes. It was adressed to "Designs by Erika" and had our address on it. This woman uses many names and adresses. I believe Erika is her sister`s name. I am a police officer, and when my wife informed her of that, we received a full refund immediately. I have been in contact with the Stae Police in Maryland.
