Post Wedding Reception

I will be getting married in November this year, but will not be having the reception until March 2002. How do I word my invitations? Do I send out an announcement now, and an invitation for the reception later? Help, I can find much help on this situation, and my time is running out.

But did you send out announcements regarding your wedding? This is where I am puzzled. I am calling the people that are going with me to Vegas for the wedding, but do I announce it to everyone now, then send out the invitations to the reception in March? Or do I just let the people that are going to Vegas know about it and then announce it with the reception?
