This has been done at a wedding I attended and it was really fun and free, For a prize have each table come up with a love song and have a representative get up and sing it as fast as they can, no table can repeat the song and it must have the word love in it, the last table standing are the winners, the game goes really fast and its a blast

I am an avid crossword buff, so for our reception my fiance and I have put together a crossword puzzle of words and phrases that have particular meaning to our history together or to each of us as individuals. Each guest will receive the puzzle, folded to the size of a card, along with a pencil engraved with our names. We hope it will help some of our guests get to know us a little better, and be a bit of an icebreaker to start some conversations as they ask each other for answers! This might not be the right fit for you and your fiance, but perhaps you can follow the general idea of taking a hobby or sport or interest you especially like and developing it into an activity. Hello everyone! I need help with my wedding reception. My fiance is from Pennsylvania and I am from a small town in Mississippi. We are going to have dancing, wine (bar), and a buffet at the reception. I need help with ideas for centerpieces on guest tables (they are round and seat 6-8). I have votive candles to put on the tables but I need a centerpiece that will be different than just flowers in a vase, etc... I also need help on making this a fun reception for his family that will be traveling such a long distance. I want this to be memorable and special to all who attend. I`m getting married the day after Thanksgiving and I can`t think of anything to do at the reception! My parents (who are paying) don`t drink alcohol and I just don`t want everyone sitting around just munching on food because everyone would of stuffed themselves the day before! HELP!
Also, our wedding favors are customized CD`s. We are picking 5 of our favorite love songs and are having a friend burn them onto the CD`s and the cover will be a black and white pic of me and my fiance. You can get good quality copies made for cheap at any reprographics place. It`s cheap and something people will actually use!

I am a wedding planner and a great way I have tried to get the guest involved at a wedding is by using theme songs from old and new t.v. Shows have the tables try to guess what they are and that`s the order you dismiss them in to go to the buffet after the bride and groom of course.
