Looking For A Maggie Sottero Olympia Size 10

I have a Maggie Sottero "Olympia" that I wore for my July 1st, 2004 wedding in Victoria, BC, Canada. It is a "blush" colour, the only one on the market since it was a prototype, and it`s a size 8. I`m 5`7" and wore 2.5" heels. I`m 38" X 33" X 37". As you can see, the corset back allows you to wear the dress comfortably from a size 6-10. I can send you pics if you`re interested. Currently, it is stored in a museum preservation box and was cleaned and pressed the week after I wore it. It is in Excellent condition and is absolutely stunning. That is a lie, the blush is a standard color that this dress comes in. Don`t give girls the wrong or misleading information just to sell your used trash. That is bad business.

I`m sorry if you feel that this is a lie. I do not intend to send the wrong message. When I bought the dress in Vancouver, BC, I was told that this was a prototype. If you try to order the "Olympia" dress on the Maggie Sottero web site with the "Blush" colour, you cannot. Please try and let me know if I`m wrong. Yes, there are dresses in the Maggie Sottero line that you can order in "Blush", but the "Olympia" is not one of them. So it is my understanding that I do in fact have a prototype.

Thank you for your update. I do not think that the official Maggie Sottero retail distributor in Vancouver would go to the trouble to tell me a lie (especially on four seperate occasions when I spoke with four seperate bridal shop representatives). Consequently, I have a feeling that one or more prototypes were distributed among retailers to see how the public responded. Since I bought my dress last year, I`m guessing that the response was good and so the dress is now offered in Blush, or perhaps it is offered when it is custom ordered for a client. Either way, I have a "Blush" coloured Maggie Sottero Olympia for sale, size 8. It is in excellent condition, and I`ll be happy to negotiate with the next lucky girl who gets to wear it. Thank you again for your reply. I was not intending to send a negative message and I`m sorry you felt that way. I just want to make sure that others do not believe, as Ann has stated, that I have lied about the issue and jeopardized the chances of selling this beautiful dress. I appreciate your input and will connect with the store in Vancouver to find out why they stated this dress was a prototype.

Olympia is available to order in the following colors: White, Diamond White, Ivory, Light Gold, Mocha. Please note that Olympia is not available to order in Blush.

I bought my dress off the floor and was told it was a Maggie Sottero prototype and was the only blush Olympia. It has now become apparent that all the other "blush" Olympia`s that are "ordered" are not real Maggie Sottero`s. In which case, for all future brides looking at the Olympia dress, beware of copycats.

I have a Maggie Sottero Seattle Marie in Ivory Size 10.
It is identical to the olympia, besides the neckline is recessed.

I wore the dress for my June 04 wedding. Since then it has been cleaned and is in its original bag.

Oh, it has been hemmed for a 5`4" person with 2-3/4" heels, so basically anyone under 5`6-3/4" could have it hemmed to fit them perfectly.

Thanks for you message Kasia. It`s good to finally have the true picture. In terms of my own dress, I`ve contacted the store where I bought it, and they are mailing me the certificate of authenticity and will be contacting Maggie Sottero directly. Apparently, this issue came up when they received the dress, so they are now just re-confirming with the Maggie Sottero company. I feel better since I can now confidently sell my dress as a Maggie Sottero.
