Please Dont Do It
I am 40 years old and i have been getting the shot for 2 1/2 years now . I think i am preagnant. I`ve had spotting and breast tenderness with an increased appetite. I`ll wait a few days to take a test. Is it possible to get pregnant on depro? Maybe i was given an old expired shot. All i want to say is dont do it . My system is completely out of whack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it is possible to get pregnant on the shot. NO birth control is 100% effective (except for abstinance). If the odds are 99.9% accuracy, then you could feasibly be that 1/1000 person who will get pregnant. If you are worried, take the test, or talk to your doctor.

You are so right.... I did take a test and the results were negative yesterday. I guess i was lucky this time around. I won`t be getting a new shot next month . I`ve had so many side effects, mood swings, weight gain, loss of desire, depression. I`d like to get back to a normal healthy system. By the way , i found out that you can get pregnant on depro and most of the time the pregnancy is ectopic. You can also miscarry without bleeding, the egg gets reabsorbed into the body. Thank god for the internet.........thanks sarah

No prob, I`m glad I could help. I agree with you on the wonderfulness of the internet! The only thing I have to say though is stay away from taking drugs other people may recommend and EVERY question you have about what it right FOR YOU should be directed to your health care provider directly. They are the ones that know you and your body, and have the expertise to recommend options (on anything, not just birth control) to you. I wish you well and hope all works out for you.
