Duties Of The MC

I am getting married Sept. 15 and the push is now on. The MC is my brother, and we are a little lost as to what the MC does, and we also need a plan of attack. . He wants to do a good job and is now starting to get the jitters. I`ve been to weddings where the MC did a terrible job, and that is the last thing we want. Could you PLEASE HELP US! Thank you

The best emcees do what *you* want! Think of the things you would like your brother to do. Some ideas are: Announce the bride and groom as they enter the reception, announce the special dances (bride and groom, dances with parents), announce the time for toasts, announce dinner, desserts, how to ilne up for a buffet and cake cutting. He doesn`t have to make a speech, make jokes or anything like that. He is there to help the reception go smoothly. His biggest task is to speak clearly. I`m sorry if this looks like one big jumbled paragraph, but the Party Pop message board is squishing all information into one big paragraph. Grrrr...... I`ve called in about it, but maybe if they are monitoring the boards they will see this and fix the problem!
